1. Lesser Town

Lesser Town Square – Started as a market place it has always been the centre of life in the Lesser Town. Today, there are official buildings and restaurants. The important buildings include the St Nicholas Church, the Town Hall, the Sternberg Palace, the Smi?ický Palace. On the facade of the Baroque Kaiserstain Palace there is a bust of the great Czech soprano Emma Destinn who lived there between 1908 and 1914.

2. Prague Castle

Prague Castle is the most stunning castle complex in the Czech Republic. It is situated in the very heart of the capital city of Prague. Prague Castle is a textbook of architectural styles, the burial site of Bohemian princes and kings and, last but not least, the residence of the President’s Office. Founded by Prince Bo?ivoj around 880, it has been a seat of princes and kings for more than 11 centuries – and of presidents since 1918. The oldest part preserved is the Romanesque Basilica of St. George from 921. Nonetheless, it was the Gothic style that shaped the castle in the main. When visiting the place, you must not forget to see the monumental St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace including the Vladislav Hall and the northern three-towered bulwark. Furthermore, remember to visit the Golden Lane and take a walk in the Royal Gardens.

3. Charles Bridge

Named after the Emperor Charles IV in 19th century the Charles Bridge is Prague’s most familiar monument. Designed by Petr Parler, it was completed in 1400 and it connects the Lesser Town with the Old Town. Although it is now pedestrianised, it withstood wheeled traffic for 600 years. There are thirty statues on the bridge, many of them have been replaced with copies. Originals are kept in the Lapidarium of the National Museum and at Vyšehrad. The magnificent Gothic Old Town Bridge Tower was designed by Petr Parler and built at the end of the 14th century. It is considered the finest Gothic tower in central Europe, mainly for its decoration. There are marvellous views of the Vltava river Valley, the Žofín, St?elecký Island, the Old Town and the Lesser Town.

4. Kampa Island

Known as the Venice of Prague, Kampa Island has been formed by a branch of the Vltava called the Devil’s Stream (?ertovka). Originally there were only gardens on the island but it was also used for washing clothes and bleaching linen. In the 17th century the island became well known for its pottery markets. Today it is an elegant part of Prague with a village-like character.

5. Old Town

Mentioned in 1091, it is the oldest of the towns of Prague gained the privileges of a town in the 13th century. However, its name dates back to the 14th century when the New Town was founded. The centre of the Old Town has always been the Old Town Square dominated by the Church of Our Lady of Týn and the Town Hall.

Suan Lum Night Bazaar, Bangkok

1: Structure your travel well and prepare a schedule.

First decide the places you wanna see on your next   tour. With the help of a map or internet try to combine those places which are geographically close to each other. This will cut down your travelling time in between .Also this will make the arrangement of transport lot more easy and cheap. Try to stick to this schedule as far as possible(sometimes some  unforeseen incidents may derail your well planned schedule like accidents…)

2.Book your accommodation in advance.

In this era of internet explosion, when  one  can easily book any type of accommodation that suits one’s budget through internet, sitting at your home, ensure that you book all your stays well before your date of travel. This is extremely essential if you are travelling with your girlfriend or kids. This means that you don’t waste precious time going from hotel to hotel trying to find a room, having to arrive early enough at your next destination to look for accommodation. 3: Decide on mode of transport.

6. Cushion your timings.

You should allow some time just to wander around, enjoy a leisurely lunch. You do have to plan an itinerary, or you can just waste a lot of time, but it doesn’t have to be written in stone!  Allow yourself the opportunity to be spontaneous.

7. Don’t just stick to tourist traps.

Try to visit some authentic local restaurants, markets, villages, etc. where you will meet local people, rather than just other tourists.  Surely part of the reason for going abroad it to experience at least a little of the local flavour, not just spend all your time with other tourists.

8. Do not try to see and do too much.

You may end up actually seeing very little. I think it is better to see more of fewer countries/regions and see them properly.  You may not want to stay in one location for your whole trip. However if you choose carefully it may be possible to do several day trips from one central location.  If you do decide to tour, consider spending at least two nights in some of your destinations.  It can be quite tiring being on the move every day, packing and unpacking.

Sometimes you feel that the  journey itself is the destination, I believe thats when you become the true traveler.

Rolling works well with most clothes. Lay each item of clothes face down, fold back the sleeves if applicable and then roll from the bottom up. You might even want to put a rubber band around them to make sure they stay rolled up.

The best way to pack your bags is however to use the so called bundle wrapping packing method. As the name suggest bundle wrapping involves wrapping your clothes around a central core object, create a bundle and avoiding the folds that cause creases.

Maybe it sounds too good to be true but the bundle wrapping packing method works, you can even pack wrinkled clothes and they will come out less wrinkled. And you can pack your bags with more clothes using this method than with the other more conventional packing methods.

The bundle wrapping packing method is a little more complicated than the previous packing methods and can take a little practice to get perfect. It is though not as complicated as it may sound at first.

The 10 Steps For Bundle Wrapping

Gather together ALL the clothes you are taking with you before you start packing – adding anything afterwards can be difficult and it might mean you have to start all over again
Clothing is wrapped in a specific order so larger more wrinkle prone garments will end up on the outside of the bundle and the less easily wrinkled pieces closer to the core
Lay the first item flat in the suitcase without folding
When you have neatly arranged this item flat put the next item on top of it – put it in the opposite direction from the first item
Allow sleeves, pant legs, skirt lengths to hang over the edges as you stack more and more items
Make sure that collars and waistbands touch the suitcase edge as this enable more items to fit into the bundle
Select an object to form the core of the bundle – a bag with your underwear, socks, bathing suits and other small loose items would be a logical and ideal choice
Put your chosen core object on top of the pile of clothes you have stacked
Now you start wrapping up your bundle. Start with the last item you placed, neatly wrap the ends of that item across the core bag on top of the pile. Wrap sleeves, pant legs, skirts lengths over you core and work your way down to the bottom of your stack
Now place your remaining luggage items, like shoes, around the perimeter of the bundle you have made and your are done packing

What you will end up with is a bundle of all of your clothes that looks like a pillow. You can pick it up in one piece. It’s compactly packed so you can fit more items into your luggage and because it´s folded your clothes will wrinkle less.

When you arrive at your destination you work in reverse order to unpack your wardrobe. To find specific item in the bundle, lay it flat and unwrap until you reach the layer you want. Take the item out and refold the remainder.
